Welcome Home

My husband finally found his way back home! Chad has been working up in Ohio for the past 10 months and finally landed a good job here in TX... better yet it's located in Conroe (about 15 minutes from our house!) He will be the HSE Director for Tenaris ( http://www.tenaris.com/ ). Abby and I are SUPER excited he is home!

Astros Game

Chad was in town for his interview last weekend so Debra, Laura, and Scott went with Chad & I to the Astros game . It was HOT HOT HOT! Anyway, we had a great time and they actually won! Hopefully we can catch a few more games this season!

Penley House Update

Well we have accomplished a lot (fruniture, decorating etc.) on the inside of the house since we built it in May '07, but the landscaping that builders put in was c-r-a-p! So, we decided to landscape the front and back since it's Spring time. Chad and dad could probably do it except neither one has time and both of them have jacked-up backs etc ... and I'm not about to get that dirty (JK). So, we mainly planted Magnolia trees in the front and back, seago palms, bushes etc. We will add our own flowers in a couple weeks (I can at least do that!) I did install some cute solar lights all by myself in the front, if I do say so myself :) This was Chad's Anniversary gift .... whether he agrees or not, JK!

We made it a whole year (who-da-thunk?)! Even though we were apart for half of it - that made it 10 times harder :( Chad was a very good hubby and got me the top band to my wedding ring... Diamonds ARE a girl's bestfriend :-)

Busy Holidays !!!

I'm getting WAY too close to 30 (sorry Krystal ...) Anyway, we went to church for Easter Sunday then went to eat at my favorite place - Pappasitos for lunch with the family. Chad had to fly out that night :( then I met up with Debra and a couple people for dinner and hung out. Busy weekend!

Easter Sunday

March is a busy month for us! Chad came home the weekend of my 27th birthday (which also happened to fall on Easter) so we celebrated that along with our 1st Anniversary - since we wern't together on the 10th...

Yes, we made friends with the Easter Bunny! Chad was THRILLED... such a trooper :-)

Let the DRAMA continue ...

So, I haven't updated this in a long time ... I know :( In late February, I decided to move back home to Texas since things up north didn't work out the way we planned (go figure). Chad is soon to follow too ... so keep him in your prayers b/c Abby and I miss him bunches! I think I am about thawed out, but not completely! In the mean time I am a nanny for a 3 and 4 year old not too far from where I live. I am going to do that for awhile until I decide to get back into teaching :-) I will try and get some new posts up soon since Chad was home last weekend we celebrated our 1 year anniversary, my birthday and Easter all at once!
